Day 1!!!

Hello! We have had a fantastic day - the weather has been great and the kids seem a lovely bunch. The first activity was to make a model boat from balsa wood. We then took the boats to the stream to test them. Congratulations to Jonathan and Elizabeth for particularly good creations that survived several trips down the stream.

In our meetings this year at Peak Adventure we are looking at 'Lesser known Bible Characters' in the evening and 'Best known Bible verses' in the mornings. This evening we learnt about King Josiah and the finding of God's law in the temple. Two team members talked about reasons why they read the Bible and two others did a sketch that involved one of them getting quite wet.

Following the evening meeting, we went for a walk, had a fire practice and found out about tomorrow's activities. We hope that some of the children will able to contribute to this blog in the coming days.
